by or you have disqualified yourself. Directors, please
PRINT this part of the application and take your time
and READ it. If you’ve gotten this far, then we
would assume that you have read and understand the rules
and regulations set aside for you to read on this application,
and Performer page on www.nycsalsacongress.com Please
double check to make sure.
Please Note: The Director of each team must
be present with all or any team member upon signing
of the release & consent form at the event (NO
EXCEPTION)
The Groups/Couples making a Dance Presentation for the
2010 New York International Salsa Congress – Dance & Music
Festival agree to the following procedures
1. Fill out this application form so groups/couples
can perform.
2. Send the list of names of each performer in your
group/couple on this release & consent form.
3. You(team director), partner/Co-director and upgraded team
members will be instructed to sign the official release & consent
form when you arrive at the Instructor/Performers Registration
Desk. At this point you will be asked to make sure if
all of the names of team members are correct. The rest
of the team will only be allowed to register on the day
of your group’s tech rehearsal. The Director must
be present with all or any team member upon signing.
(NO EXCEPTION)
4. The MAXIMUM time for each GROUP presentation will
be FIVE (5) minutes. For COUPLES the
maximum time allotted for presentation is THREE
(3) minutes. (NO EXCEPTIONS)! If your song goes
over time allotted to you, the remainder will be faded
out. Mambo Fateegz Inc. can only reserve the right to
approve requests to extend the time of the dance presentation.
5. Mambo Fateegz Inc. reserves the right to assign the
evening or late-evening during September 3-6, 2010 of
the performance from the groups/couples selected to participate.
Some groups can and may be asked to participate for additional
days.
6. Music MUST be provided on a compact disc (NO IPOD)
and giving to the tech rehearsal engineer at the time
of tech rehearsal. Please have just one number on the
CD. Please bring 2 CDS for back up. (NO EXCEPTION)
7. Team registration is at the point of your tech rehearsal.
All teams/members MUST attend tech rehearsal
for your performance on the allocated day. (NO EXCEPTION)
8. Each performing team’s Director will receive
(1)one Performer Full Pass and (1)one Full Evening Pass
for his or her partner/Co. Director. The rest of the
team up to 4 couples will get a Free Evening Pass only
for the night that you are performing. (This is negotiable)
These team members and Director’s partner/Co. Director
have the OPTION to upgrade to a Performer Full Pass(the
only pass we have available for performers this year)for
the fee of $100 if purchased online before June 1; $200
afterwards or at the door.(We recommend that you upgrade
team members at this point of registration to get it
over with and save.)
8A. The Performer Full Pass gives you Full Access to
all Day, Afternoon AND Evening activities including all
workshops, all shows including watching the competitions.
(A $360 Value) (Please note: Each performer or couple
must be dancing and part of the routine. On stage holding
a prop, etc. will not be accepted.) Dancers in your team
that are not performing will be treated as regular attendees.
Please Note: A Performer Full Pass
is not nor nothing compared to a Full Pass VIP Package.
Team members are allowed to buy the Full Pass VIP Package
if they decide to.
9. Dvd’s of the Congress will not be for sale
but only given away as part of the Full Pass VIP Package.
10. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Dance
applications should be in our office no later than June
1, 2010. If you haven't registered your team by June
1, 2010, we will assume you've decided not to perform
for us then we will go to the next team on the list.(No
Exceptions)
11. The New York International Salsa Congress will have
a “Registration Desk” for all Performers
and Instructors. Upon check-in and registration for the
congress, all performers will receive a schedule of performances
and workshops. You can view the schedule of the performances
via the Performance button in the Navigation bar.
12. FOR THE LATE - EVENING PERFORMANCE: A technical
rehearsal for all dance groups that will be performing
on Thursday will be at 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, Friday
at 1:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 am.
13. All groups performing in the Late-Evening must be
in the Grand Ballroom at 8:30 PM each night in preparation
for the night shows, 8:40 PM for roll call and no later
then 8:50 PM. If later then 8:50 PM, please enjoy the
rest of the night on us. The next day we will meet to
discuss the rest of your stay.
14. FOR THE EARLY - EVENING PERFORMANCE: A technical
rehearsal for all dance groups that will be performing
in the early-evening presentation is scheduled for all
groups at 12 noon on Friday, 8:00 AM Saturday, and 9:00
AM Sunday.
15. All groups performing in the Early Evening shows
must be in the Grand Ballroom at 5:30 PM each afternoon
in preparation for the Early Evening shows, 5:40 PM for
roll call and no later then 5:50 PM. If later then 5:50
PM, please enjoy the rest of the night on us. The next
day we will meet to discuss the rest of your stay. Mambo
Fateegz Inc. reserves the right to make changes concerning
the date, time and place of each presentation.
16. Attire/Costume MUST be appropriate for the performance
or any audience. No Jeans or Sneakers(NO EXCEPTION)
Please Note: If there are any changes
in names of performing team members between the dates
of August 1 – 31, 2010 it is very important that
you write to us letting us know. All that we ask for
is your professionalism. If this is possible, then thank
you for your support of the 10th Annual New York International
Salsa Congress September 1-5, 2010. Also please keep
in mind that these rules and regulations are being made
for no other reason but to have a professional and smooth
running event. We look forward to working with you.
