BACHATA DIVISION: Music should be no less than 2 minutes and no more than 3 minutes for the team performance. Rhythm and timing must be maintained consistently throughout the performance. Shines or Side-by-Side's are permitted as well as tricks, so Anything Goes! Performances must consist of 70% Bachata dancing.

1. Competitors will be evaluated on
• Team Synchronization
• Musicality/Timing
• Visual Presentation/Stage Presence
• Choreography
• Technique

2. Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 couples (6 members). Competitors and attendees must have a pass for Thursday Evening Concert Series & Performance Showcase package and are required to fill out a registration form and sign liability waiver compliance for all team members. If members of the team have a Full Pass VIP Package, then the registration fee($70) is waived. If team member has a Full Pass VIP Package, then the other team members will only have to pay.

3. Team Captian will receive a number to be which they will be responsible to keep through the duration of this particular competition.

4. All competitors consent to release the use of their photographs, biographies, and names, for any video or television footage for sale.

5. All competitors will supply their own music on CD. Please have a back up CD for “just in case” and only one track of the performance on the CD.

6. If there are fewer than five couples/teams, the NYISC committee reserves the right to cancel and the contestants will be given back the registration fee.

7. The head judge and NYISC committee will have final say on all discrepancies. All questions and/or disputes should be brought to the attention of the head judge in writing (NYISC committee will supply a form for this purpose, if needed).

8. Absolutely no private filming, video cameras, photography and/or sales of videos/tapes will be allowed at any time without written permission of the NYISC organizers.

9. Registration is required in order to compete. The registration fee now is $70 per team member which includes entrance to Thursday Evening’s performance showcase. It’s HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you register before August 27 or the Competition could be canceled. (Includes a pass to get into the ballroom Thursday night)

10. No casual or everyday clothing is allowed.

11. Attire shall be appropriate for the performance.

12. While on the competition premises, competitors shall conduct themselves at all times in a civil and sportsman like manner.

13. It is the competitor’s responsibility to be in attendance at least half hour in advance of the advertised time scheduled for events he is entering. Organizers are not required to delay the program for the benefit of latecomers.
