Mambo Fateegz, in association with Team NYSC presents THE 7 TH Annual New York Salsa Congress hosted by J. I. Starr of WSKQ MEGA 97.9 . This world renowned salsa event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, August 30, through Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the Hilton Hotel on 1335 Avenue of the Americas-53 rd Street (Midtown Manhattan). Kick off parties, press parties and welcome parties are scheduled for the days leading up to the Congress. The New York City Salsa Congress is New York’s premier music and dance event.

The New York Salsa Congress is a 3-day 4-night multicultural dance event.

Highlights include:

• The 1 st Annual New York Salsa Dance Championship
• Latin Dance workshops everyday
• Dance showcases every night
• Our Live Concert Series and social dancing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night
• Youth Day Saturday morning starting with our free musicality program set aside for kids and our afternoon youth dance showcases and much more

The New York City Salsa Congress hosts dance lessons from some of the most sought dance instructors in the world; Eddie”The Mambo King”Torres, Delille“Mambo D”Thomas, Nelson Flores, Al“Liquid Silver”Espinoza, and many more.

Dance lessons begin every morning at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. The dance showcases begin at 9p.m. and end at 10-10:30 p.m. Live music and dancing occurs immediately after, and ends at 3 a.m. from Thursday- Sunday.

Multi-day and evening passes are available at different rates of participation. The price of a pass depends on the date you purchase your pass. Prices range from $80-$345. Early bird specials are available earlier in the year. All tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event. All major credit cards will be accepted.
